There were so many challenges thaI faced over the past couple of weeks, I thought that something strange had to have been in the stars…things have just been crazy. BUT, now, things seem to be turning back into a positive light.
I’m getting really geared up for the next 30 days (adding up to 60) of my 90 Day Challenge. Really, the last 30 days, I really focused a lot on getting the word out about my life, and trying to blog almost daily. One of my goals was to blog every day but I ended up missing about 5 days of the past 30. I am still going to focus on the goal of blogging everyday, but I am committed to incorporating video…video of my singing, my different exercise routines of choice, and just of some of the knowledge I’d like to share on how to live your dream life, and the steps I’m taking to get there myself, that you can do too.
I am very excited about the next 30 days because you are also going to see some of my “favorite things” (kinda borrowing that from Oprah…she’s on my list of people I would love to meet and speak with one day, like I am sure several hundred thousand other folks…lol), that I have incorporated into my life to make it more wonderful everyday. So be on the look out to check out some my favorite music, books, guitars, videos, candles, jewelry and much more. It may take me a sec to get it all together but it’s coming. I am excited to say that I am coming to a close of the first 30 days of the 90 day Challenge. I was looking back at my goals for the Challenge and I think I have made a few adjustments along the way. My goals consisted of balancing family, health, singing career, and my spiritual health. I think the ones that really stayed on top of the most was the commitment to my family and spending quality time with my baby girl and hubby, and blogging on my singer songwriter website so that you, my fans, friends, family can really get to know me. The blogging actually is also helping me gain clarity in the direction that I want to take my career at this time. Of course I’ll be sharing that “Ah Ha” clarity with you every step of the way.
I haven’t been video taping myself singing, so that has to be something that I push through to do asap. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t been setting aside the time to showcase myself to my own “peeps”. I know you all support me and lift me up…I think the fear of being seen all over the world wide web performing, which is my dream, is getting in the way. Also questioning the “what if’s”…what if I sing the wrong somg, What if people start talking about me?”…etc. I’ve gotta listen to my own advise about FEAR, “False Evidence Appearing Real”. You may have read the blog I had saying “Don’t Be Sciirred”, talking about conquering your fears by facing them head-on.
I have also gotta get my online store up and going. Everyone is asking what things they will be seeing in the store other than music…well, your gonna have to wait on that. I am still making up my mind on what I would like to offer that really imparts some value into your quality of life. The next 30 days is going to be more awesome than the first. I’ll also track my workout regimen better…I think I’m down about 5 pounds. Now it’s time to step up my exercise routine, not that baby girl is finally sleeping through the night. A while ago I read this book called The Secret Code To Success, by Noah St. John, that was little different from the other “success books” out there that tell you to use affirmations and repeat them all the time to train your mind into believing they are real in the present although they may not manifest themselves until sometime in the future. Things like, “I make millions of dollars every month selling my music online”, or ” I will lose 20 pounds in 2 months”…you know, statements like that.
Well, this book basically says that making these statements doesn’t work for everybody, if they did then hundreds of thousands of people would be rich and skinny who buy these type of books everyday. Instead this book said your mind sometimes, no matter how hard you try to train it, says, “you liar…you are not rich, you are not skinny.” The way afformations are formulated, instead of the typical affirmation, they ask a quesion instead like “Why will I lose 20 ponds in 2 months?” What that does, it claims, is then makes your mind answer the question which gives you a map to achieving that particular afformation. You probably answer something like…because I am working out at least 4 times a week, I’m cutting out soda and replacing it with water or Crystal Light, I am riding my bike to work, etc…anything that gives you the map to actually achieving that afformation.
