Nichole Ayanna’s personality is upbeat and positive. Her energy draws people in and makes them want to be around her. Is she beautiful? Yes, she is, inside and out. She’s also an incredible singer and songwriter with some of the deepest dimples you’ve ever seen. Her lips are a perfect pout, so sexy and alluring.

As I watched her walk on stage from the audience, you could see the people looking at her with question marks on their faces. “Oh she looks good, another pretty girl…but can she sing?” As she walks in front of the mic, the band begins to play Teena Marie’s classic, Casanova Brown. “This girl betta sang…if she’s gonna do that song,” I overheard a woman say sarcastically in the crowd. It seemed as if shock and awe overcame them all in an instant. A rich, thick, soulful and powerful voice filled the room…”My baby’s fine…” From the first three words, they were mesmerized.

After she finished, the crowd was in an uproar. One of her new biggest fans yelled out, “You sang that song girl…it was off the chain!” She laughed, flashing her huge dimpled smile and said she always wished for a compliment like that and left the stage.

Nichole Ayanna and the MicNichole Ayanna has been singing since she was 8 years old, starting like many vocalists, in the church where her grandparents were AME ministers. She ventured into singing professionally by the early age of 10. She and her sisters, formed the singing group Nik-Tash’Ta, where she sang lead and wrote most of the songs they recorded. After dealing with the highs and lows of a major label deal they formed their own independent record label, Angel City Records. They completed an album, toured, and released three singles, Let’s Take Our Time, Hangin’ Out, and I Like the Way each of which videos aired on BET and regional network video shows throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean.

Nichole Ayanna disappeared from the music scene for a few years, turning towards the corporate world, but never lost her love for the music. “It never swayed from my heart…it was always there calling to me. It’s time to put my soul out there again for all to see…that’s what I always put into my music, my whole self. My friends, family and fans kept asking how in the world I could not continue to share this gift God gave me. I finally decided that I had to get back to singing and living my dream…being my authentic self?”

Nichole Ayanna is now embarking on her musical journey as a solo artist and song writer. Her life experiences with love, friendships, hardships and happiness have helped shape the sound of her soulful voice and music. Whether she is singing about love or perseverance, her vocals are infused with emotion that simply moves you.

Nichole Ayanna’s music covers the gambit of R&B, Jazz, Neo-Soul and Hip-hop. Her influences are Patti Labelle, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan, and today’s artists, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott and many big voices.

“I love to perform with a live band. My music has a global appeal, it’s easy to listen to all day, you can make-love to it all night and it transcends generations. I can hit the high notes and the lows, but I’m giving you a little more breathiness, attitude and flavor now, something you inhale and hold inside forever. I just want to give audiences the best performance every time I go out on stage. I have a lot of fun with it and bring the audience along with me. That’s what life should be about, having fun, laughing, loving, and just enjoying everything you do. I want my fans to feel good when they hear my music or see me perform.”
